Cannabis stocks are expected to have a ton of eyes on them this week after the news from the US House of Representatives to once again vote on the legalization of marijuana on a federal level. The house will be voting on the MORE Act, which stands for Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement. If this passes then it would set the stage to move the bill to the senate for a potential vote. Cannabis related stocks jumped higher following the news and are likely to continue seeing opportunities in the coming week as more development unfolds. Looking at cannabis companies individually we’re seeing that most names are NOT strong enough financially to be considered safe long term investments yet so the focus remains on the short term.

With gas prices soaring on a daily basis, Americans are beginning to take their attention to electric vehicles for a relief. The last three years on the market have had an on and off focus on electric vehicle and clean energy stocks, but now more than ever we’re seeing more movement in the sector. Many car manufacturer companies have made their promises to full move into EV production by 2030 and even laws are beginning to phase out the new production of gasoline cars. Oil prices are rocketing hiring as the geopolitical uncertainty from the Russia-Ukraine situation continue to add stress of world supply. With demand still moving higher, prices are not expected to come down without poetical action to increase local output or a potential new deal with Venezuela to begin exporting oil to the United States. The upside move from oil is taxing Americans at the pump but is putting more profits in oil & gas corporations as well as oil drillers.
